Vertical -a race to the top of Lazy M, only the ascent is timed.

Short -an intro to skimo with skinning ascents, boot packing and fun descents. The entire course is timed.

Long -you’ll travel all across the ski area, gaining 4,500ft before your cross the finish line. The entire course is timed.

  • Who

Anyone with touring equipment (alpine, tele, or splitboard) can participate. Each course will have strictly enforced but easily attainable cut off times.

If you’re new to uphill travel, we suggest signing up for the vertical race!

**Please note, outside of this special event, Red Lodge Mountain has designated uphill routes and rules. Whether participating in this race or not, please help us keep uphill travel possible by following their guidelines. For details, click here.
